Platform engineer

Your responsibilities

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, security and continuous improvement of the internal IT infrastructure. You will combine operational responsibilities with automation and structural improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and optimising the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Purview and Defender.
2. Providing technical support to internal employees and resolving IT incidents efficiently.
3. Managing Windows and macOS devices, including configuration, deployment and hardware inventory.
4. Implementing least-privilege principles and contributing to Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
5. Collaborating with Cloud and Platform Engineers on infrastructure, CI/CD integrations and AWS-connected systems.
6. Contributing to the automation and further professionalisation of the internal IT environment.

You will initially focus on IT operations and systems management, with opportunities to develop towards cloud infrastructure, system design and architecture.

What are we looking for?

You are a proactive and analytical IT professional who enjoys taking responsibility and improving existing systems. You understand that effective IT operations go beyond resolving incidents: you look for structural solutions and automate processes wherever possible.

You will ideally bring:

1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
2. Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, IT Infrastructure or Systems Engineering.
3. Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Intune.
4. Experience managing Windows devices and preferably macOS endpoints.
5. Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Shell. Python is a plus.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters most is your technical curiosity, willingness to take ownership and motivation to keep developing your skills.
