Lead Developer Rust 7k a month

Your Role: As Lead Rust Developer, you will be responsible for guiding the Rust development team and overseeing the architecture and implementation of mission-critical applications. You’ll collaborate closely with other development teams, including those working with Java and Golang, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across all platforms.

You’ll bring your expertise in Rust to drive technical excellence, mentor junior developers, and help the company scale its systems as they handle more and more users. The company embraces a remote-first culture, with only one day per week required in the office, giving you the flexibility to work from home while being part of a close-knit, innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance applications using Rust.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with systems written in Java and Golang.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions that can handle millions of concurrent users.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Rust development team.
• Ensure best practices in coding, security, and architecture.
• Work closely with product owners and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and maintainability.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Rust and related technologies, driving innovation within the team.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in Rust.
• Proven experience in leading a team of developers.
• Strong knowledge of systems programming, performance optimization, and concurrency in Rust.
• Familiarity with Java and/or Golang is a plus, but not required.
• Experience in building large-scale, distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
• A proactive attitude and a drive to take ownership of technical challenges.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
